"Play it Again" - July 2009
- Three great plays! - Three great casts! - Three great audiences! Thank you for your support for our three great plays which were performed in a heat-wave. Our teenage members gave great performances and were a credit to the group. Some of them also performed alongside the adults and gave them a run for their money. Despite many cast members almost melting on stage, our performances were received with appreciation and enthusiasm, We are grateful that our audiences showed great resilience in the face of soaring temperatures. The Ghost Train

The Spring Production
Rehearsals are now underway for the 'Gamlingay Players' Spring Production of 'The Ghost Train' by Arnold Ridley. Performances will be on 19th, 20th & 21st March.
Arnold Ridleys classic drama was first produced in 1925 and has been filmed three times. Six passengers are stranded at an isolated Cornish railway station. Despite the stationmaster's warnings of a ghost train, they are forced to spend the night in the waiting room.
After enjoying this atmospheric drama with a smattering of humour you may never travel by rail again!!!
Tickets available from March 2nd For more information or to book tickets visit the upcoming production page.
"Jack and the Beanstalk 2008"
We started rehearsals for this production back in September and it was wonderful to see the results of all the hard work finally on stage. The success was tinged with sadness as our director, Albert Jackson, was unable to see the final performances due to previous holiday commitments but he, along with you, will be able to see the photos of the show.
Albert is a very experienced actor and director and we all benefited from his stagecraft experience, especially our teenage members, who certainly did us proud at rehearsals and performances.
Pantomime is incredibly hard work but also very rewarding and is probably the first live theatre that many children will ever see. Gamlingay Players have a fine tradition in panto, one that we hope to continue for many years to come.
So many thanks to the hundreds of people who came to see the show, bad luck to those of you who couldn’t, many thanks to all our members who worked so hard behind the scenes and on stage and here’s to the next panto in 2010!
